This is just a small mushroom/fungi, less than 1 cm in size.

If this is not the Bleeding Bonnet, then it is of the Mycena family, which has a wide range of habitat, and has been spotted as far south as Australia. It's possible you have found one of the 95% of unidentified mushrooms.
