uncommon,usually solitary overall dark grey,unmarked wings and tail,relatively short yellow legs and long wings Bobs while walking like a spotted sandpiper

Habitat:

nests along rocky streams in mountainous areas found mostly in Alaska and west Yukon,winter range west coast N America down to Baja Peninsula
