Chestnut crowned warbler

Seicercus castaniceps

Description:

This little fellow came at sat near us on a bamboo tree in the evening. Since it was raining and the place was warm maybe he enjoyed so much that he did not go home. Was practically undisturbed by our moments and noise. Could not ID it as I did not want to go too close to him and scare him. He was in such an odd position that I could just notice his olive and white streaked body, white underparts and a chestnut cap. Experts Help needed.

Atul sir not the same bird, as I have seen it flying and the colours on the back are different green and white. I think I will go with Cynthia's suggestion. Thanks to both of you.

you mentioned olive streaking so I think it might be the warbler I found. Let me know what you think

Thanks Cynthia, you are right the black line is missing and the cap too looks smooth on my spotting. Thanks for giving it time. Look forward to your suggestions.

Hi - I am going to take some time to look this little one up but I don't think it is a chipping sparrow. It seems to be lacking the black line going through the eye and the cap on yours looks a lot smoother than the cap on the sparrow. They are very similar though. I have to work today but perhaps by tonight I might have something.
