I agree with Sorbus torminalis, the red berries must be a commercial variety. Having a check on flicker the leaves look correct.

Planted next to a Motorway so this tree must be a hybrid from a nursery dealing with major contractors. None of the Hawthorn / Sorbus / Cockspurthorn have a deep jagged edge as this leaf.

Perhaps, especially because this tree was part of a hedgerow. I think we don't have any way of telling though because if this genus wasn't tricky enough, leaves often vary from tree to tree.
