Perched on a compass plant (Silphium laciniatum) at Bergman's Slough in Southwest Cook County (Forest Preserve property). In a remnant prairie. Eating a grasshopper.
The all white background on one picture is just a cloud and is not a cut and paste but it showed the bird a bit better than one posted earlier against a cloud background...
