I just saw your lovely Scutigera picture. I lived in the Boston area for many years and had a real problem with them in some of my apartments. One night I was sitting with a bowl of ice cream watching TV when a Scutigera ran across my ceiling, lost its grip, and fell into my ice cream. I managed to get it outside, kind of sticky but mostly unharmed, but I kept one eye on the ceiling from that day on!
