Spiraea splendens

Description:

Spiraea splendens is a shrub of the Rose Family. About 70 cm tall. The plant bears fragrant, fuzzy pom-poms of bright rosy pink flowers in the summer.

Habitat:

Spotted next to one of the trails at Paradise on Mount Rainier. Found in western North America in mountainous ares between between 2,000 and 11,000 feet.
