Acraea perenna
All Acraea species have elongate forewings and rounded hindwings. Most species are predominantly brownish or greyish in ground colour, and are marked with bands or patches of red or orange. In almost all species the basal area of the underside hindwings are marked with an irregular pattern of small black spots.
African tropics. This species occurs in localised populations in relatively open or degraded forest, and can be found in forest-edge habitats including along wide logging roads.
I spotted this while hiking behind Mountain Paradise Lodge in eastern Ghana.
