A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Carduelis tristis
Small yellow bird. Males are bright yellow with black crown and black wings. Females are yellow grey with grey wings. These little ones were spotted at the Mount Magazine visitor center happily feeding at the feeders and eating seeds from plants. It looked like a little bird party there where so many of them.
Prefers open meadows but can also be food in open woodlands.
