yes, its frost crystals on the leaf's edges - was a stunning winter when I shot it.
And yes, it's some sort of large-leafed Ivies.
Can't tell the exact ID unfortunately :(

Very nice! I've never seen ivy like this. Looks like it has powdered snow on the edges.
