Description:

Multicolored moth with light underwings and striped abdomen. It camouflages well on the ground.

Habitat:

Ground near Silver Creek Falls. "It is found from British Columbia, south through Washington to northern California. It is also found in Oregon and possibly western Nevada." - Wikipedia

Possible; however, I don't see a species from North America.

That may be it! Hard to tell with the lower wing so over exposed in my pic. Do you know the name of the moth in the pic?

Also important is to recognize its larvae's feeder plant. Also important to note plants where this moth stops or lands.
