I believe you're correct. They do have quite a variation in coloring and pattern. Thank you lori.tas!

I think it's Podarcis muralis, the common wall lizard. They're very variable.

I found another photo of the lizard in hopes of finding an ID. Unfortunately it's taken from farther back than the others but it's a different angle.

i think its a flat lizard.. could be the female or male in non-breeding color form..
