Butorides virescens
This small heron was seen as it started to rain. I tried to hurry and take a picture but it would only let me get so close. One more step and it would start to step away. It I stepped back, so would it. The rain was getting harder here in the lightening capital so I had to just accept what I had. Id's mostly from white patch under chin and bolder colors than found on juvenile yellow-crowned night heron.
