White Cheese Polypore

Tyromyces chioneus

Description:

Spotted (in both cases) on spruce-deadwood. This white tree fungus extracts a milky white fluid. I've been working a couple of years in the woods, but honestly this one's completely new to me...maybe I've been blind these years...dunno.

I had that one, too - actually in bad quality due to darkness, so it's not within the collection.

Curious fungi! I love the details of this photos.
