Northern gannet (juvenile)

Morus bassanus

Description:

The juveniles hanging out with adults in this spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/692.... Juvenile northern gannets have dark mottled wings and backs, a less yellow head than the adults and black feet. They have the same light blue eyes and black face markings of their adult counterparts.

Habitat:

Spectacular seabirds that spend most their time on open ocean. Although I've seen them hunting in coastal areas close to land as well.
