Description:

These cicadas live in parks, woodlands and pine hardwood forests. Adults do not feed.Larvae feeds on sap through tree roots. Males attract females on summer days with a loud buzzing. Larvae reach adulthood in 3 years.

Habitat:

Southeastern Canada and northeastern United States

Notes:

Did you know that there are thousands of cicadas songs? Apparently in Greece in each island they have a different cicada that makes a different call.
