Description:

Head and front body metalic black. The back is brigth orange with three black stripes. About 2 cm long.

Habitat:

Mylabris variabilis is a species of polyphagous beetle from the family Meloidae, present in Europe. Size between 7 and 16 millimeters. Its elytra are black with orange yellow transversal black bands. Despite their high variability (as the name implies) is characterized in that the abdomen ends with a black band.

your beetle is not Trichodes apiarius, but Mylabris variabilis :)
