Anoura caudifer
This specimen was caught near a lake, in a region of an environmental reserve of Atlantic Forest.
Some friends of mine are doing some researches of bats, then I help a little. The "Anoura caudifer" have a Nectarivorous diet.

Wonderful that their wellbeing and survival is being monitored!
Oh no, of course "Maria dB"! We tag them, weigh them, reap the feces, measured the forearm, check the age or sexual status (pregnant, inactive, lactating, young, adult,...). We do this to check the population growth and we also analyze the impact they and their populations cause in the area.
Interesting spotting! Do your friends tag the bats or just take measurements before releasing them again?
