Western Virgin's Bower

Clematis ligusticifolia

Description:

Invasive vine growing into trees with white flowers and yellow stamens that attract bees (obviously). This is native to California and only found just beyond the borders.

Habitat:

In a dry chaparral area near water run-off by Lake Hodges

Notes:

First image shows vine leaves. The second shows the tree it's invading but cans see the vertical vine and flowers.
