Many such species find at low upto 5-20 meters above sea level to 5000 meters sea level. I saw many such herbs in India around Western ghat hills.

Also looks good, I'd GUESS wrong though because of elevation. This was at around 1600 feet, in what is basically lowland forest, the Penstemon procerus is generally found at mid to high elevations, in the subalpine zone.

and Ashish, the Penstemons and Nothochelone is actually in the family Plantaginaceae.

I've actually found Nothochelone nemorosa before, I'm pretty sure this wasn't it. Again, I wish I had photoed the rest of the plant.

The color is good for the Venus, but according to this it doesn't occur in the spot I found it.

Hmm, I doubt it, the only Dopatrium in the US is Dopatrium junceus, which appears to not have appeared in Washington.
