Tirumala limniace & Danaus chrysippus
the plain tiger is the most commonly found butterfly in india
rains have worked wonders in our part ,spotted these beauties posing perfectly on this plant. am curious to know the plant too as many of them were trying to sit on this one specific plant.

Both Plain Tigers are male.
superb Atul, I guess it is the season, there are many here in Tamil Nadu also.
This is a beautiful composition. All three individuals are male, identified by the sex mark (gland) centrally positioned on the hind wings. It is the lowest black mark with white center dot on the Danaus and similar position but less obvious on the Tirumala.
