Common shiny woodlouse

Oniscus asellus


They may look a bit like insects, but they are not, insects have only three pairs of legs. Woodlouse is crustacean with seven pairs of legs Larger colorless to yellow spots along the outer edges of each body joint. They has a shell-like exoskeleton.


They are often found among dead leaves, under decaying trees and under rocks.
