Eastern Fox Squirrel

Sciurus niger

Description:

The fox squirrel (or eastern fox squirrel, Bryant's fox squirrel) is the largest species of tree squirrel native to North America. They are also sometimes referred to as the stump-eared squirrel, raccoon squirrel, or monkey-faced squirrel.

Notes:

Photo was taken about a year ago, and I have to give my dog, Marco, credit for this spotting. But since he doesn't have a PN account, I'll post it on mine... :)
