I'm not 100'% sure about the ID. It was a large cactus with beautiful flowers. From close they look like roses or like a vanilla/strawberry ice cream. :-)

Habitat:

next to a sailing habour/scuba diving station in a town called Calvi

You're right, it's Opuntia, not sure of the species though.
