Coprinus comatus,
These beauties were found growing underneath an old, dead Redwood.
oh, this schould not be the comatus, when i find one. i Will take him home and fried him. but this one is surely a COPRINUS but no way the comatus. the comatus i much more fluschy (? hope you understand what i mean, dont find the right words), could be alopecia, echinosporus or cinereus. but i can only speak from funghi i have really seen, touch (that will be european funghi) but the juveneil comatus is fried very tasty, only 1 problem : after you take him from where he stand, he has to be in the pan in maximal 30 min. otherwise he will melt in your bag.
