Chalk Dudleya/Lettuce

Description:

Very bright pink and white plant covered in a chalky pollen. Buds are growing everywhere, but none are in bloom.

Habitat:

Spotted in dry chaparral area during hike near Lake Hodges.

Saw this plant on Thursday again, this time in Poway. I didn't have a camera but it turns out this is a type of light green succulent! It looks similar to this site, so I'm pretty sure it is California Chalk Lettuce:

KarenP mentioned the options for this plant. Both are Dudleya pulverulenta, just one is a subspecies.

Ya, there weren't really leaves. There's the ones on the bottom of the stalk that were pink. Not familiar with this plant though, so i'm not sure.....

Yes, a dudleya that is blooming. Not sure of the spp. Chalk Dudleya vs Chalk lettuce. I'd need to see more of the leaves. I see these blooming in the area right now.

Does anybody know what this plant is? There were only a two in the area I was hiking so I'm guessing they're either uncommon or were growing away from the trail.
