Dudleya pulverulenta
Very bright pink and white plant covered in a chalky pollen. Buds are growing everywhere, but none are in bloom.
Spotted in dry chaparral area during hike near Lake Hodges.

Saw this plant on Thursday again, this time in Poway. I didn't have a camera but it turns out this is a type of light green succulent! It looks similar to this site, so I'm pretty sure it is California Chalk Lettuce:

KarenP mentioned the options for this plant. Both are Dudleya pulverulenta, just one is a subspecies.
Can anybody identify this plant?
Ya, there weren't really leaves. There's the ones on the bottom of the stalk that were pink. Not familiar with this plant though, so i'm not sure.....
Yes, a dudleya that is blooming. Not sure of the spp. Chalk Dudleya vs Chalk lettuce. I'd need to see more of the leaves. I see these blooming in the area right now.
I'm guessing this is California Chalk lettuce?
Does anybody know what this plant is? There were only a two in the area I was hiking so I'm guessing they're either uncommon or were growing away from the trail.
