Silver Argiope

Argiope argentata

Description:

"Posterior half of the top side of the abdomen is dark-colored with "windows" of white. The division between the light-colored front half and the dark-colored back half is usually straight and unbroken." The web usually has a zig-zag pattern in it. The first image is looking straight down at her abdomen. Her location didn't allow me to get a straight shot of her top side.

Habitat:

On a cactus at a lagoon

Notes:

Her egg sac can be seen at: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/696...

Thanks, Aaron! It looks a bit like she has a crown on her abdomen ;)
