Photographed on a whale watching trip near Victoria, British Columbia.
Oceans and seas around the world.
It helps to have a 300mm lens. We are hoping to go to Alaska one day. Do you have recommendations about where to go?
I'm very jealous - we went whale watching in Alaska & the only fluke I managed to snap was from such a long way off the photo just isn't worth posting!
Proud indeed Peter! Wish there were a centralized catalog for the North Pacific!
Give me a heads-up when you do. :-)
We are lucky here in the Bay Area to have whales near San Francisco and Monterey. Hope to go to the Philippines one day.
Was fortunate enough to have witnessed these amazing creatures here in the Philippines last year. You cannot help but feel awed when you see these flukes out in the water as the whales prepare to dive. :-)
Way to go you captured the whale fluke! Galewhale would be so proud!http://www.projectnoah.org/users/galewha...
