I'm very jealous - we went whale watching in Alaska & the only fluke I managed to snap was from such a long way off the photo just isn't worth posting!
Was fortunate enough to have witnessed these amazing creatures here in the Philippines last year. You cannot help but feel awed when you see these flukes out in the water as the whales prepare to dive. :-)

It helps to have a 300mm lens. We are hoping to go to Alaska one day. Do you have recommendations about where to go?

We are lucky here in the Bay Area to have whales near San Francisco and Monterey. Hope to go to the Philippines one day.
