Description:

Loud, but shy bird. Colourful plummage, mostly pinkish grey-brown, with blue, black and white wings and identifying black marks on cheeks.

Habitat:

Breeds in wooded areas, prefers woodland with acorns. Usually nests in trees.

Notes:

It looked like he was checking his reflection in the pool!

Too noisy for my tastes, but interesting to watch! There were six or seven of them yesterday morning, all shouting at me while I was working. Think I was disturbing them! :D
