Ann ... Good for you! I'm with you - I think folks could do a lot better job of assigning common names tor beautiful critters.

Was able to ID my spotting as a The Dingy Bush Brown butterfly
(Mycalesis perseus cepheus). Apparently they are actually relatives in that they both belong to the Nymphalidae family.
... Btw I think yours was given a slightly nicer (common) name than mine! :-)

Anny ... They sure look similar. I wouldn't be surprised if they share a distant aunt or uncle somewhere along the line.
