Musa acuminata are bananas of asian origin I think if its the Americas they called Plantain or Musa paradisiaca(but this scientific name no longer use)
There's 2 ways I guess you could handle it. You could leave it as an unknown spotting and in your description or notes, add what you think it is. Others will see this when they look at your spotting. I have done this. Or you name the spotting as what you think it is, and then in your notes or description, mention that you are not 100% sure of the ID and would appreciate confirmation.
@dandoucette I know, the thing is that I am not sure if this is exactly the correct name. I suggested it so that others can verify, or is it better to not suggest anything at all?
BettinaK, if you know what you're spotting is, there is no need to upload it as an unknown spotting and then add your suggestion after. You can just add the correct name when posting.
