Description:

This was a small specimen, approximately 28 - 36 cm. long, curled up in a sunny spot on a cool Spring day.

Habitat:

Mixed hardwood, mesophytic forest floor.

Notes:

Based upon the location, I am identifying this as the A. contortrix mokasen subspecies.
