The green heron is a small heron. I have found them difficult subjects in the past. This one was keeping a close eye on me as I approached to take this picture. Apparently, the fence and the water separating us made it feel just safe enough to pose.
Shorelines. This spotting was made along the FL gulf coast.

Nice spotting, I always think that small herons look paranoid, the way their shoulders are up near their faces! Very cute :)
