Think it might be the Pachydiplax longipennis or Blue Dasher (male). Looks similar but I am no expert on the dragonflies over there. What do you think?
Are you sure the blue one is a damselfly? It is holding its wings horizontally like a dragonfly and it has very large eyes that cover the head. Damsels eyes stick out on stalks. It is also rather stocky and damsels are slender. :)

Ha! I've had the same combo on the same branch down here! The ID's given were Blue Dasher and Neon Skimmer.

Yes the Blue creature could be a Blue Dasher Dragonfly (Pachydiplax longipennis)? Maximise the view of the head is the key I think,
I am not sure. If you give me a better ID on the blue one, I'll post a correction. It was my best guess from looking at pictures online.
