Wooded areas near water...
We see a lot of dead ones on the road...The reason is their defense, when frightened it to jump straight up, right into the bumper of the oncoming vehicle. They can bloat up and float in water or sink & stay on the bottom for 6 minutes...My dogs & cat had fun with this one who didn't seem to be in much of a hurry.
