Description:

About 3 feet long.

Habitat:

Oregon Coast. Apparently a burrower.

Notes:

Was sitting outside a burrow in the grass. When we got too close it went down into the burrow.

They make a minor neurotoxic venom, but can't really deliver it to humans easily with posterior venom glands. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garter_snak...).
