A nest of some sort. Maybe an insect colony of wasps? Seen en route from Haridwar to Joshimut.
Added to the animal architecture mission.
Thanks Lori, but are the termite nest round? Not sure if I have seen round termite nest.
That makes me think of the termite nests I've seen in trees up in the northern part of Australia.
Would love to Emma, but unfortunately I am back home. The nest seemed to be made using mud.
Keep us updated , Looks like a very solid nest.
No Emma, the time was not right for birds, it was late in the day. Maybe if we were earlier we could have spotted some birds.
that is interesting! Did you see a bird around it?
