Popinjay

Stiboehiona nicea (Gray)

Habitat:

Marshy area with few short trees. Warm place.

Notes:

Spotted on a tree feeding on its sap. There were other bush brown butterflies, wasps and ants vying for the sap. When disturbed by others it flew away for sometime only to come back again!

Thanks Marta and Dilan for the comments. That day the local temperature was low due to the week long rain, hence this Popinjay was quite cooperative allowing me to reach upto 10 cm with my Galaxy S3! Thanks anyway.
