African Baobab

Adansonia digitata

Description:

Regarded as the largest succulent plant in the world, African baobabs can live well over thousand years but ages are very difficult to determine.

Habitat:

The dry savannas of sub-Saharan Africa.

Notes:

Our instructors took us to this unbelievable tree one day, which they simply call "Big Baobab". The tree is located in Makuleke Concession, the northern most sector of Kruger National Park, South Africa.
