Alces alces
Moose are the largest species in the deer family and are easily distinguished by the palmate antlers of the males.
Moose typically inhabit temperate to subarctic boreal and mixed deciduous forests of the Northern Hemisphere. This particular young bull was spotted on Fishercap Lake in the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park.
