Description:

These are smallish insects about 3/8 in. long. Males hold their abdomen somewhat curled at the tip in a scorpion-like fashion, hence their name.

Habitat:

Often found in forests and along forest edges.

Notes:

This insect may sometimes raid spiderwebs and rob the spiders of their prey.
