A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
For some days, the area was awash with these and another (darker yellow) species (?) swarming. Nevertheless this was the only individual that sat still long enough to photograph.
Secondary vegetation growing on abandoned lot in village. Close to a thin strip of disturbed coastal swamp forest.

The flowers look like Spanish Needles. They often come up in Florida in early spring so early butterflies go to them.
