Downcuvred bill, long neck, long legs, and red-splashed wings.

Habitat:

Breeds in a few places on salty lakes in Spain, S. France, Sardinia and Turkey. Appears in several wetlands in Portugal

Notes:

Greater Flamingos, the lords of the estuary. Tagus Estuary (Portugal). I photographed these birds in winter.
