They were yellow and blue. I actually caught it and spread its wings for a photo, but the photo came out terrible. Morpho butterflies are similar to the Caligo genus, but the Caligo butterflies have eye-spots on their wings....hence the name "owl" butterflies. :-)

Are the insides of the wings blue on this butterfly? I think I photographed the same species in Ecuador, and thought it was a blue morpho..
