Caterpillar's amazingly similar to a type of Eribidae: Tinolius sp; southeast Asia and of an Agaristinae (Joseph's-Coat moth,) found in Australia.

Figured it out! Found another picture here at the MalaMala Game Reserve wildlife spottings page - http://www.malamala.com/Archives07/may05... - plus I found someone else who spotted this for Project Noah. Wow - what an amazing creature!
