Dead cicada. This is the third one that has decided to come to my deck to die.
We have alot of cicadas in our yard this year.
Good images help us delineate ranges and geographic tendencies among cicada populations. Please continue taking pic's.
You did a wonderful job including multiple angles.
Dorsal & ventral images serve best, but lateral pic's also aid in id.

Yeah - the ground gets littered with cicada bodies here in MN this time every year. At least that means it will get a little less noisy soon. Man, those things are loud!
