Description:

This is the caterpillar of Pyrrharctia isabella. One of the common names is the banded wooly bear. It will undergo metamorphosis into the common Isabella tiger moth. I spotted this at Ano Nuevo State Park in California.

Habitat:

Lupine in Ano Nuevo State Park in California.
