Clitocybe gibba
Love these little guys. :)
Elevation of 5,500 feet (Madera Canyon). These small mushrooms are everywhere in the Summer!
What separates this mushroom from the rest: the small to medium, funnel-shaped cap that is usually pinkish-tan; whitish and crowded gills that run down the stem (decurrent); faint sweet odor; white spore print; its preference to oak and some conifers. Older name: Clitocybe infundibuliformis.
