Black bear

Ursus americanus

Description:

North America's smallest and most common species of bear.

Habitat:

This particular bear lives in a temperate rain forest in Whistler, British Columbia

Notes:

Spotted about 10 yds off of a hiking trail eating clover. He did not seem bothered by my presence at all and actually came quite close (within 5 yds from me).
