Description:

Asota caricae is a moth of the Erebidae (Noctuidae) family. Widespread in Papua, Indonesia. "A very wide distribution from India in the northwest to the Solomon Islands in the southeast. In China it enters the Palaearctic Region as north as in the province Shaanxi."

Habitat:

This spotting took place in a large semi-urban yard & garden next to a disturbed remnant patch of forest.
